WHAT IS HEARTH?

Hearth is a community celebrating gay women and LGBTQ+ creativity in Manchester.

The name comes from the meaning of a hearth which is traditionally the heart of a home, where people gather, share stories and feel at ease. That's the feeling I hope to create through Hearth, a community where people can connect, discover inspiring people and find a place they feel they belong.

I started Hearth because I know how difficult it can be to find your people. Whether you've recently come out, moved to Manchester or simply want to meet more people in the community, making those connections isn't always easy.

Manchester has an incredible LGBTQ+ community, full of talented creatives and inspiring people. Through Hearth, I want to shine a light on those stories, celebrate the people shaping our city and help more of us discover one another.

You'll find creative spotlights, conversations, recommendations, local discoveries and, over time, small gatherings designed to bring people together in a genuine way. The focus has always been community first, with everything else growing naturally from there.

Hearth is still at the beginning and I'm building it one conversation at a time. Manchester is so gay. We just need more places to feel at home.

Welcome to Hearth.
